
Flour - 225g
Sugar - 400g
Cocoa powder - 75g
Baking powder - 2 tsp
Baking soda - 2 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Eggs - 4
Milk - 240ml
Vegetable oil - 120ml
Vanilla extract - 2 tsp
Hot water - 240ml
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9-inch (23cm) cake pan.
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add in the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
Slowly pour in the hot water while stirring the mixture.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
Let the cake cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes before removing it to a wire rack to cool completely.
